Giving Up Is Easy!

On this journey we call life there will be times when you feel like giving up. The moment you feel like giving up can be the moment you recieve your breakthrough. It seems like most people these days are willing to give up too easy. You ever wonder how most successful people made it to where they are today? Determination, Stubborness, Tenacity, Mental toughness and most importantly the stamina to not give up too easy or too soon. Imagine waking up to find out the day you gave up, your blessing was sitting right at your front door. However, you never went to answer. Now the blessing says: Return To Sender.

Find a quiet place where you can sit and think, then ask yourself some questions about who you are and where you are going in your life. There is nothing you cannot do and nothing you cannot have. Making sure you know what you want and how to get it is essential to ensure ultimate success, when you dedicate time to think it through.

Think BIG Picture...

If you know where you want to be one day, you have to be honest with yourself as to where you are, today. It matters not how long it takes you to get there or what direction you take. All that matters is that you keep the destination in sight at all times. Some will tell you that you are going in the wrong direction, that it is taking too long, that there is no light at the end of the journey. How would they know? It's not their journey. It is your destiny alone to direct with the help of like-minded people that believe in the big picture you have in mind.

Don't Be Surprised...

It might be a surprise how hard it is for most people to be happy for the success of others. Blessings come abundantly to those you support others good fortune without feeling like they wish it were them. Feel blessed with what you have not envious of what you don't. There are people who wish to have just half of what you have.

Once you begin your journey make sure you go all the way. Half-hearted efforts will not be enough. Either you give your all or leave well enough alone. There are those who are looking from the sidelines waiting for you to either succeed or fail. Make sure your efforts are not in vain and deliver more than people expect!

How many times are you going to let opportunities pass you by, because you feel that they are not big enough for you? Every opportunity is a step towards greater things to come. But you never get there, if you block your smaller blessings. Big things do come in small packages but big blessings come as small ones that mean so much more when all is said and done.

Appreciate What You Don't Have...

Make a conscience effort to appreciate what you don't have. You can have problems that you feel people would never understand. Ironically, you will never understand the problems of others either. It may never be better than you think, so stick with the problems you know and embrace them if you can't change them.

Don't Overlook The Obvious!

Don't be afraid to do the obvious to get the things you feel you deserve. If you find it hard to accomplish the goals needed to feel and be successful, obviously you are doing something wrong. Sometimes the simple things are too obvious, so we tend to overlook them, everytime.

Something has to give if you want to be successful. You can't steal second base with your foot on first base. Sometimes you just have to jump head first. If you fall, just get back up. But what if you fly...?

In order to make changes and make things happen for the better, you have to make yourself uncomfortable. There are certains things we have to do and things to change a few things or we will stay in a comfortable state of mind. These things might make others around us uncomfortable. No one ever succeeds by remaining comfortable or content. Time to shake things up a bit.

What Do You Value?

Some people allow time to go by without enjoying what life is truly about. Spending to much time on people and things that have no real value. Only to look up one day and realize those people and things no longer exist as they were. Life is to be shared with those that add value and things that appreciate with time and not depreciate the value of your life or journey.

Today is only but a small moment in time along this journey we call life. What you did yesterday no longer matters in the universe unless it was inspiring or uplifting to someone. Tomorrow only allows us a chance to attempt to try it again, until tomorrow becomes today and today will eventually become yesterday. What will you do with your time while here?

Count Your Blessings...

They say you should learn to count your blessings. But why count them on just one had? Count as many as you can! Use both hands! They are your blessings to count. Don't let anyone block your blessings and more importantly, don't block your own. And if you're not counting yours, can I borrow your hand? *smile

What Is Your Association?

Be careful of your association with certain individuals, situations and opportunities. You might be a good look for someone else but they might not be a great look for you. You may bring light to a situaton but in return the situation brings nothing of substance to you. You are willing to share opportunities with others but some people keep them to themselves. Not everyone wants to see you win but not everyone wants to see you lose either. Just be cognizant of who's who.

Don't Avoid Failure...

Don't be afraid to make your own decisions and fail. People are afraid of failure, so one way they think to avoid failure is to make no decision at all. The more you fail the better decisions you'll make. Don't be afraid to fail. Stop over-thinking it.

Surround Yourself With Blessings...

Surround yourself with those that hold you to a higher standard. The only way to feel and be blessed is to be a blessing to those around you. As my friend and Celebration of Life supporter Patti Labelle says, "When you've been blessed, it feels like heaven"!

Being Uncomfortable Isn't All That Bad...

Succeeding is very important, but success cannot happen every time. Have the courage to try different things. Doing the same thing each day, speaking with the same people, traveling the same route, you will rarely encounter new challenges. Ironically, staying in your comfort zone should make you very uncomfortable. Being uncomfortable will bring out the best in you.

Never allow inspiration to consume who you truly are or truly meant to be. You find success in being the best you that you can be. Not the best someone else that you can be. Find the lane that best represents you and drive until the wheels fall off.

Make a decision as to what areas of your life need improvement the most and make changes. It may have taken a long time to get where you are now but after the necessary changes, it will take you no time to arrive at the place where you truly want to be.

Don't just communicate what your dreams and aspirations are. It is important to live as though they are right around the next corner. Live as if your life depended on those things to come to fruition in order to live. Imagine that each dream was a breath and each success was a heartbeat. Most put their energy into proving where they've been. It's important to recognize the past but don't wallow in the failure or success you have experienced. Instead, prove by your actions today so much that there is no argument as to where you are going to be tomorrow. You can't always get people to see the BIG picture but that should not stop you from painting a bright future for yourself. Some people will never get it, so never mind them, do it BIG!
